Great place to stay! The owners and son are cool too
Rooms & bathrooms are a good size (depending on which room you get, if you get one at the lower gravel parking lot the rooms are a bit smaller). Beds & pillows are comfortable. Rooms are very clean compared to other hotels in the area. They have rooms with 1 king bed or 2 double beds. Some rooms have much more storage space than others, some have a closet & others don't. Some rooms have a table & chair(s) but some rooms don't. The owners have worked hard on keeping the hotel looking clean & decent. It's mostly quiet except for the highway traffic & the Sharpsburg train. Sometimes other guests get a bit loud but it's rare to have people being really loud. You aren't allowed to have any guests or visitors so that cuts down on the noise & the traffic in & out of the hotel. Would be much better if there was a microwave in the rooms instead of having to go all the way down to the check in desk/office to use a microwave. The microwave is outside which really sucks, especially when it's very cold, windy, rainy or other bad weather outside. Be careful coming in & out of the driveway bc it's rough & if your vehicle is low like mine, it will scrub. Best to turn in at an angle & go very slowly.
